Veneers are a special type of dental items made to recreate the natural look of the tooth. In the same time, veneers provide strength and resilience. Some of the advantages of veneers:
It is almost impossible to spot the difference between a natural tooth and veneer
Veneers are coffee and tea stain resistant
As opposed to crowns, using veneers will leave most of your teeth intact
If your teeth resist whitening, veneers can be the best alternative
Veneers can be recommended to fix minor twists, overlaps and even small gaps in your teeth.
If you are found unsuitable for any reason you will receive a full refund.
Initial Consultation with a GDC Dentist
The first step is seeing the dentist for an initial consultation. The dentist will consult you and recommend whether veneers are the best option for you.
Once the decision for veneers is taken, the dentist will start trimming a precise amount of enamel from your tooth.
The dentist will then take the shade of your teeth to be able to match it with the shade of the veneer.
A mold will then be taken for your teeth and surrounding gums. This is a precise copy of your month that will be used to fabricate the veneers. You will then be most likely fitted with temporary veneers, until your custom-made ones are completed.
Once your custom veneers are completed will be come back to finalize the procedure. In this step the dentist will recheck the shape, the fit and the color. If everything is ok, the dentist will cement the veneers on and wrap things up by polishing and scrapping off excess material for a perfect and natural looking finish.
You should come in for a final consult approximately one week later, so the dentist can check and evaluate how your gums have adapted to the veneers.
